Royal Hasselt Yachting Club – a vibrant tennis and padel club in Belgium – was ready to leave behind outdated paper membership cards. The traditional way of printing and distributing cards each year was time-consuming, costly, no longer matched the expectations of their tech-savvy members.
Our solution
LoyaltycardTools created a fully digital membership card, customized to match the RHYC brand, and fully compatible with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
To make the rollout as seamless as possible, we integrated a smart SMS distribution system. Each member received a personalized text message containing a unique link to their digital card. One tap – and the card was instantly added to their smartphone wallet. No friction, no hassle.
The digital membership cards were also linked to RHYC’s POS (cash register) system. When a member scans their wallet card at the bar or restaurant, the system automatically:
Identifies the member
Links the purchase to their account
Applies any eligible member discounts
This created a smooth and smart in-club experience, both for staff and for members – who now enjoy the perks of their membership in real time.
